ORGANISERS of a charity ball in aid of a teenage boy have said tickets are still available for the fundraiser.

The Colour Fusion Ball takes place at Walworth Castle Hotel, County Durham, in aid of 14-yearold Kieran Maxwell, who lost part of his leg to cancer.

Kieran, of Heighington , was recently measured for a prosthetic limb after Euromillions Lottery winners Colin and Chris Weir, from Ayrshire, in Scotland, donated cash from their £161m windfall to his cause.

However, The Kieran Maxwell Fund, set up to raise funds for him, still needs money to continue buying the youngster new prosthetics as he grows.

The charity ball will feature an auction, with prizes including a signed Newcastle United shirt, and a Newcastle Vipers ice hockey top.

There will also be a three-course meal, live music, dancing, and a buffet, with all profits from the evening split between The Kieran Maxwell Fund and the Toma Fund, a charity set up in memory of cousins Jordan Thompson and Sophie Atay, who both died of cancer.

Kieran was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare cancer which attacks bone and muscle tissue, in 2010.

His mother, Nicola, is still keen to hear from anyone wishing to donate raffle prizes or auction gifts for the ball, which takes place on Friday, September 28, from 6.30pm.

Tickets are £30 and are on sale until Saturday, September 22.

Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
