THE funeral took place yesterday for animal lover Sue Potter, best known for her obedience training for dogs.
Ms Potter, of Pelton, near Chester-le-Street, died peacefully, last Friday, at the age of 59.
A former lithographer, she turned to dog training full-time after leaving Durham Chemicals, at Birtley, after 25 years, due to a back injury.
She set up Actadog, based in the grounds of her house, to train animals, mainly dogs, for TV, film and advertising roles.
Sne trained many dogs, honing several champions at Cruft's, where she was often a judge.
Her funeral took place at the Parish Church of St Mary and St Cuthbert, in Church Chare, Chester-le-Street, yesterday, followed by cremation at Birtley.
