FOUR people have been taken to hospital after a two-car crash in County Durham.
All four had to be cut free by firefighters following the incident on the A6076 in Lanchester.
Two fire crews from Consett, a special rescue unit from Bishop Auckland and a senior fire officer were sent to the scene.
The crash happened at 11.15pm.
A fire service spokeswoman said all those injured had been taken to the University Hospital of North Durham by ambulance.
