TWO officers were hurt when a stolen lorry reversed into a police car today.
Police were called just before 4pm to reports of the wagon being stolen from Brotton Road in Carlin How, east Cleveland.
Officers spotted the vehicle a short time later on the A66 travelling towards Grangetown, Middlesbrough.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said the wagon failed to stop and left the A66 to turn onto Middlesbrough Road, where it reversed into a police vehicle.
One police officer suffered an arm injury and another was taken to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough with a neck injury.
The spokeswoman said two men have been arrested in connection with the incident and inquiries are ongoing.
