A COUNTY Durham man has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a shopper, who was attacked in the street.
Anthony Marshall, 50, has been charged with the manslaughter of Michael Marshall, 52, who died while shopping in Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth, Northumberland, on August 23.
The 52-year-old is alleged to have become involved in a verbal altercation, which continued onto the street outside.
He was assaulted and taken to Wansbeck District Hospital where he died.
Anthony Marshall, of Brook Road, Carville, County Durham, will appear before South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court, on Monday, December 19.
