Sedgefield RACECOURSE is the location for a special charity event for pregnant mums and those families with babies and young children.
Held in association with Lazy Daisy Birthing, it is entertaining and informative. It takes place on the 11th December, starting at 10.00am and finishes at 2.00pm. Entry is free.
It is an opportunity for mums to get out and about and mingle with other women and families sharing similar circumstances, and to have a bit of fun.
Being near Christmas visitors can shop for gifts at exhibitors’ stalls.
Nicola Hopkins, a Lazy Daisy teacher, said: “We are holding this event in aid of Count the Kicks which is a charity organization whose aim is to reduce the number of stillbirths in the UK.
“The Bumps and Babies Christmas event is open to everyone from mums with bumps to families with young children.
“The Lazy Daisy Birthing team will be on hand to provide practical advice and demonstrations in their birthing and baby massage classes.
“ Also available will be expert advice on breastfeeding.
“Snow White and Santa will be giving out treats with ample photo' opportunities with the man himself!
“ For the first 100 people there is a free goody bag.
“This is a great opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done, as some of the best local exhibitors will be on hand to help find that special gift!
“Also fantastic competitions with the chance to win a 6-week course of Lazy Daisy Birthing classes worth £54 or a Daisy Baby massage/yoga course worth £42.
“Lazy Daisy Birthing and baby classes are available throughout County Durham, Teesside, Durham, Northumberland and North Yorkshire.
