Emergency services at Northallerton Station
THERE are major delays on the East Coast Main Line today after a person was hit by a train.
The incident took place near Northallerton, North Yorkshire, this afternoon.
There are delays of up to two hours between Newcastle and York.
The line is closed between Darlington and York, and buses will replace trains between these stations.
The disruption is expected to last until around 7pm.
