CCTV picture of traffic queuing to leave the motorway
POLICE say a number of drivers have been taken to hospital after a pile up on the A1 between Boroughbridge and Dishforth, in North Yorkshire.
Emergency services say eight vehicles are involved.
Some of the injured have been taken to hospital in Harrogate.
None are believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
The southbound carriageway is currently closed.
