NORTH-EAST X-Factor finalist Amelia Lily Oliver’s first performance in the region since her departure from the competition will be in front of tens of thousands at a popular charity fireworks display, it has been revealed.
The 17-year-old, from Nunthorpe, in Middlesbrough, will feature alongside boy band Blue and Mobo award winning rapper Tinchy Styder at TFM Radio’s Spooky Spectacular, in Darlington’s South Park on Friday, October 28.
Amelia made it through to the live finals by impressing mentor Kelly Rowland and US star Jennifer Hudson in Miami with her version of the Katy Perry song Extraterrestrial.
But despite impressing judges with her new pink hair and her version of Billie Jean, the teenager failed to make it through to the second live show after Rowland judged her to be the weakest of the girls.
Amelia will also appear at Stockton Riverside Fireworks on November 5.
Tickets are now on sale for the Spooky Spectacular, which will see the live performances followed by a 15-minute firework display set to spooky tunes including music from Harry Potter, Fantasia and Thriller.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to radio station’s Cash for Kids appeal, which helps disabled and disadvantaged children in the region.
Gates open at 5.30pm with live performances on stage starting 6.15pm.
Tickets are £8 for adults and £6 for four to 15-year-olds. There is no charge for children under three.
A limited number of golden circle tickets are available at £17 for adults and £15 for four to 15-year-olds.
TFM Radio and Cash For Kids Spooky Spectacular is in association with Darlington Borough Council and The Northern Echo.
Tickets are available from tfmradio.com/spooky and Darlington Civic Theatre Box Office on 01325-486555.
