A TEENAGER has been jailed for four years after robbing a restaurant delivery driver at knifepoint on the night he celebrated his 19th birthday - for a paltry £3.41.
Arron Lee McCabe threatened his victim with the blade while he delivered food to a house and frogmarched him to his car.
His sister, Katie Marie McCabe, was also jailed for encouraging her brother.
A 14-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was spared jail so she could "turn her life around".
All admitted robbery.
Jenny Haigh, prosecuting, told Teesside Crown Court the victim was delivering food tin Cramlington Close, Hemlington, Middlesbrough.
Arron McCabe ordered the driver to "give me all your f***ingmoney" before leading him to his parked car. He initially changed his mind and shook hands before demanding £2. After the girls egged him on he demanded further money, but only took £1.41 before the driver delivered the food, drove off and alerted the police.
McCabe, 19, of Beckingham Gardens, Hemlington, was jailed for four years because of his principal role, previous convictions and a concurrent six-month sentence.
His sister, 18, of Boscombe Gardens, Hemlington, was jailed for 16 months and a three-month term to be served concurrently for breach of an anti-social behaviour order.
The 14-year-old was handed a youth rehabilitation order.
Andrew Teate, for McCabe, said: "It is an unsatisfactory incident and must have been terrifying for the victim."
Mr Teate, for his sister, added: "As a result of her incarceration she has sat down to look at her life and the direction in which it is heading."
