POLICE are seeking a lorry driver who may not be aware he has been involved in an accident.
The accident happened on the A684 at Patrick Brompton, near Bedale, North Yorkshire, at about 2.30pm on Thursday.
A Toyota Prius, travelling towards Leyburn, collided with a heavy goods vehicle travelling towards Bedale, before going out on control and hitting a Vauxhall Vivaro van head-on.
The 77-year-old female passenger in the Prius, from the Cambridge area, was taken by ambulance to Darlington Memorial Hospital, but sustained just minor injuries.
The HGV failed to stop, but police a police spokesman said it was "highly likely" the driver will not have realised he had been in a collision.
The light blue vehicle would have suffered damage to the driver's side.
Witnesses, especially the HGV driver, are asked to contact police on 0845-6060-247, quoting reference number 12110173672.
