A HEARING for a judge whose dog allegedly bit a man on the leg has been adjourned.
Judge Beatrice Bolton, 57, from Whitton, Rothbury, Northumberland, is accused of owning a dog which was dangerously out of control in a public place.
The incident, involving her German shepherd dog, Georgina, and a 22-year-old man, is said to have taken place on land near Whitton Bank, close to her home on the outskirts of Rothbury, on June 1.
The case was listed at Blackburn Magistrates Court today but was adjourned until October 25 for a pre-trial review. That hearing will take place at Preston Magistrates Court.
Judge Bolton, who is on bail on condition that Georgina wears a muzzle and is kept on a secure lead when in public, did not attend today's hearing.
