A SIX-foot high crucifix, which once belonged to a convent, has been stolen.
The solid bronze religious artefact was taken from Newcomen Green, Longlands, Middlesbrough on the evening of Tuesday, June 21.
The four-and-a-half foot wide crucifix was attached to a wall bordering a grassed area.
It was being preserved by social housing provider, Tees Valley Housing which acquired it from a convent formerly on the site.
