A PERSON has been hit by a train in North Yorkshire.
A train - believed to be a freight train - hit a pedestrian at Tollerton Junction, between York and Thirsk at 4.20pm today.
A spokesman for Network Rail said trains were being delayed on the advice of the emergency services until further notice.
Its website has advised of delays of up to 60 minutes between York and Darlington, which are expected to last until 7.30pm.
