The Middle House is hosting a charity bike / scooter ride next Saturday July 2nd starting at 1.00pm.
One of the organisers, Roy Blyth, has been explaining how the day will unfold. “Its £2 per bike (£3 with pillion) and all proceeds from the ride and raffle and any other money raised will go to three worthwhile charities. They will be; The British Heart Foundation, Freeman Hospital Special Baby care Unit, and a local special needs school. There's a bbq on the green outside the pub after the ride and this will be followed up by a disco, singer and karaoke on the evening.”
It turns out that the ride is a sort of treasure hunt, where the bikers look for clues on their way round a set course. It seems to me then, that this bikers event will be a little more sedate than I first thought so, there shouldn’t be loads of bikers tearing around the village as if they’re at Croft circuit!
I’ll say one thing for Andrew and Sas, they’ll have a go at any event to attract customers to the Middle House and I know I’m not alone in wishing them every success.
