A NINE-WEEK-OLD baby who died at home as been named by police today.
Amber Lily Rose Hammond, of Roker Close, on Darlington's Red Hall estate died on Saturday, June 11.
Police said her death is not being treated as suspicious and were forced to act to stop rumours spreading on the estate that the baby had been murdered.
Officers visited the estate to talk to residents and handed out leaflets to counter the "irresponsible and distressing" rumours circulating on the estate and on Facebook.
An inquest will be opened tomorrow. The coroner is awaiting a histology report.
