BRIAN BOOTH is trying to trace the family of a man who died in an air accident when he was aged just 19.
He is James Charles Lister, the only son of James and Violet, from Darlington. The couple also had three daughters.
Mr Lister junior went to Darlington Grammar School and worked for the Meteorological Office.
In the autumn of 1949, he was called up for National Service and elected to serve his term in the Royal Air Force.
While returning from a meteorological reconnaissance sortie on June 16, 1950, his aircraft crashed on the west coast of Ireland with the loss of all the crew.
To help Mr Booth write to him at 131 Avon Road, Devizes, Wiltshire SN10 1PY or phone him on 01380-726138.
