In the Durham Coast League’s double header, there was a personal record score on Saturday for Hylton’s Chris Allan.
He made 195 with an astonishing 19 fours and 13 sixes against Bill Quay who fought back to earn a draw.
At the close of yesterday’s games, the table was as congested as ever with Boldon CA out in front by four points from Bill Quay and another eight clubs within striking distance.
Boldon would have been further ahead if they could have finished off Silksworth when they had them 75-5, but Darren Stoker (42no) and David Nield (48no) held them at bay for 20 overs.
The biggest movers were Hylton, who picked up 25 points with a 117-run win over Peterlee, but Easington moved into third place as they consigned Murton to their fifth straight defeat.
