In the Durham Senior League on Saturday, Graham Hoban took his run tally to 268 without being out as he hit 68 for Eppleton against Burnmoor, while Nick Sampson-Barnes was the day’s star all-rounder with an unbeaten 72 and four wickets for Boldon in their win over Felling.
In yesterday’s matches Eppleton’s second win of the weekend was a father and son affair as dad Dave Kennedy bagged four wickets and son, Joe, top scored with 53 to push their side to within four points of leaders Boldon who had to content themselves with a high scoring draw at Durham.
Horden and Norton both recorded much needed first wins of the season, Adrian Hedley (57) and Adam Dixon (5-30) the main men as Horden won at Burnmoor, and John Watson (83) sharing the victory limelight with Nicky Thomas (76) as Norton knocked off 197 to defeat South Hetton.
