CHRISTOPHER KIRK is trying to find two families whose names are in a bible dating back to 1790.
The bible no longer exists, but Mr Kirk has a page on which details a number of births to families for the Bulcocks and Inghams, who appear to be related by marriage.
The oldest entries are for the Bulcock family starting in 1790, with the Inghams starting in 1832.
The inside cover of the bible, preserved, has a small red leather plaque with the name John Bulcock 1816 embossed in gold on it, and in very good condition.
Mr Kirk believes the Ingham family are from Deighton near Northallerton, and that there may also be a local connection between the Bulcocks and Shuttleworths.
The Bulcocks and Inghams also have a strong presence in Lancashire, but Mr Kirk is unsure of any direct links.
Anyone with connections with either of these families can contact Mr Kirk on 01609-773284 or at cdkirk67@hotmail.com.
