TRAFFIC restrictions ahead of the what could be one of Croft Circuit's busiest weekends on record have been announced.
An unclassified road linking Dalton to the A167 will be one way from the A167 for 1,600m, while ten metres of the road near the junction will also be affected to accommodate thousands of people expected to turn up for the British Super Bikes Championships this weekend.
Ten metres of West Lane will also be closed to traffic.
Tracey Morley, Croft Circuit manager, said sales were on a par with previous years and they were expecting huge crowds at the weekend, with people coming from the Scottish Borders and Lincolnshire.
She said: "We've been inundated with calls for tickets for the BSB weekend.
"As soon as any of our team has put down the phone it has immediately rung again and it's been like that for probably the last two weeks now with requests for single day, full weekend or grandstand tickets.
"Although we've now stopped taking orders over the phone people can still pay in cash on the gate.
"As ever we're working very closely with the police and local authorities to ensure access to and from the circuit is as swift as possible for all those visiting us over the weekend.
"Certainly the atmosphere is going to be terrific and there's the added bonus for public that once through the gate they have open access to the BSB race paddock and, on Sunday morning, the pit lane autograph session with the Superbike riders.
"We always look to encourage families to attend - the weekend is full of entertainment and our pricing policy means free admission for accompanied children aged 15 and under."
