Fire appliances were called to a house at Diamond Road, Middlesbrough this evening (Monday).
Two tenders from Middlesbrough attended the incident at around 6.30pm.
The damage to the popoerty was caused by a grill pan on fire.
Four breathing apparatus and a positive pressure ventilation was used.
The fire caused slight damage to the cooker.
Residents in the house were alerted by a fire alarm.
