Lions player/Coach James Thomson will not be suiting up for the foreseeable future after tests on his long term knee problem have discovered possible patella spur.
A spur is when the bone grows outwards and can cause extreme pain and discomfort. Further tests will confirm a more accurate diagnosis, but for the meantime, James will be confined to the sidelines in a role he is accepting albeit with a degree of frustration.
“Its hard to be part of the team and not have a physical involvement, but I have been limited in what I can bring to the game for the last couple of years and ever since my car accident 9 years ago, I have not really been the same player. Hopefully this latest problem can be identified and treated with the minimal distress and I can look forward to getting into shape for next season.” Said James Thomson.
