GREAT BRITAIN performance director Rob McCracken has confirmed the line-up of his podium and development squads for a year which will bring crucial qualifiers for London 2012.
Scarborough heavyweight Danny Price has been brought back into the podium programme after an impressive season in 2010, and he will battle Middlesbrough-born Commonwealth Games gold medallist Simon Vallily for the 91kg slot.
McCracken said: ‘‘The make-up of the squad reflects performances in 2010.
“All of the boxers are focused on establishing themselves as the number one boxer at their weight and being selected for the critically important events in the build-up to 2012.”
Super-heavyweight Amin Isa and middleweight Frank Buglioni have been dropped from the podium programme.
Scotland’s Iain Butcher and Josh Taylor, and Wales’ Keiron Harding, have joined the development squad.
