MORE than 100 celebrities welcomed a North-East baby into the world through social networking site Twitter.
When baby Noah was born on January 11, his father, Adam Chetter, 30, asked some of the world’s most famous people for their good wishes.
It was intended as a joke, but he was astounded when celebrities from across the world Tweeted back.
So far, 120 stars – including Hollywood A-lister Sienna Miller, Baywatch legend David Hasselhoff, Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross have tweeted messages.
Mr Chetter will put them in a scrapbook for his son to keep at the family home in Stanley, County Durham.
His wife, Lynsey, 25, said: “Adam started Tweeting celebs as a joke.
We’re really glad they have taken the time out to send us messages back.”
Mr Chetter, who used the birthdate – 11.1.11 – and a picture of his son to get messages from worldwide stars, said: “We wanted to do something to make his birth memorable.
“It was just a kind of wind-up at first, but then we started getting messages from all sorts of people – musicians, actors and comedians all got in touch. It’s great to have so many celebrities send us messages which we can treasure.”
