POLICE are appealing for information after three men in a taxi attacked a man while queuing at a petrol station.
The victim got into an argument with one of the men at the petrol station on Cockton Hill Road, Bishop Auckland.
Two other men in the taxi then helped the first man kick and punch the victim before the trio left.
Police have identified the first attacker but are appealing for information on the other two who are believed to be from West Auckland.
Both are described as being of a medium build with short dark hair and wearing dark trousers.
One wore a white short sleeve shirt and the a grey shirt.
They were in a red people carrier with roof rails, possibly Peugeot or Renault, with a white taxi sign on top.
The incident happened on November 7 last year but details have just been released.
Police would like to speak to the two males in the photograph.
