A woman cyclist was taken to hospital after a collision involving a van which failed to stop.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident which involved a silver Citroen van on the A658, near North Rigton, Harrogate, at 5.20am on Friday.
The 39-year-old cyclist, from Otley, was taken by ambulance to Harrogate District Hospital. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The van driver is thought to be from West Yorkshire, perhaps Otley or Bradford. The van may be identified by markings left from the collision.
Witnesses or anyone who can help locate the driver or the van should call Harrogate Road Policing Group on 0845-60-60-247 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
