POLICE led away a protester as the prime minister's motorcade left Newcastle's Centre for Life.
Students had found out David Cameron was at the science centre and around 50 began chanting as he left.
Some ran into the street as the official motorcade left.
Protesters chanted 'Tory scum' as the Prime Minister's official car drove off.
The traffic was stopped by a Range Rover in the motorcade, as a number of young people ran into the road.
One was grabbed, apparently by a member of public, who held on to him by railings.
Police officers then held the protester, who was wearing glasses.
When a police van arrived with reinforcements later, students chanted 'Let him go' and 'Your job's next' as their comrade was led to the vehicle.
