Northallerton include new signing Matthew Coad in their line up in the second division away to promotion chasing Whickham.

Coad, who was at Crook Town earlier in his career, has been signed from West Auckland where he has had a few injury problems. Richard Thompson and Stephen Butterworth are both missing for Northallerton. Paul Cavanagh, Tony Thirkell and Adam Wilkinson are all suspended for Whickham, who are in third place with three games in hand on the leaders.

League leaders Newton Aycliffe face a really tough game against North Shields, who are in fourth place with five games in hand. Ben Wood and Chase McMullen return for Aycliffe, but midfielder Josh Knox is missing because of a broken toe. Shields, who scored nine in their last game, are missing Rob Livermore, mark Rasmussen and Andy Wright, while Chris Laws will make his debut after signing six weeks ago.

Second placed Guisborough go to Horden, and will be without striker Chris I’Anson because of suspension, but four other players who missed the defeat at Team Northumbria because of suspensions – brothers Lee and Luke Bythway, David Onions and Gary Wood – all return. Horden, who had a good 2-2 draw at Washington in midweek, have to make changes as three players are missing, while two more, Ash Corker and Craig Garthwaite, will have fitness tests. Dan Parker, Kev Boddy and Adam Croft all return. Horden have arranged a friendly against a strong Hartlepool side on Tuesday.

Hebburn, who went all the way to Whitehaven on Monday only for the game to be postponed, are at home to fifth placed Marske United. They will be without striker Dean Nicholson because of suspension, while Marske welcome back midfielder Andy Swalwell, who missed the midweek game at the RA, but they are still missing Rob Jones and Andrew Raw.

Crook are at Washington, and are boosted by the return of several players who missed the midweek game at Norton, while keeper Ian Myers came through his comeback game after injury without any ill-effects. However, they will be missing striker Kevin Devine because of suspension. Washington have an injury doubt over keeper Dan Molyneux as well as striker Andy Inness.

Darlington RA, who had a morale boosting draw against Marske on Monday, will probably be close to full strength at home to Thornaby, with player-manager Nick Harrison including himself in the squad. Thornaby are without Ian Bickerstaffe and Kris Summers.

Birtley, who are at home to Team Northumbria, are missing three players because of suspension – brothers Michael and Richie Latimer, as well as Dan Regan.
