TWO women were in the doghouse for all the right reasons when they set about raising money for charity yesterday.
Margaret Young and Yvonne Christie braved the freezing weather to spend the day in a kennel to raise desperately needed funds for Save Our Strays.
They wrapped up warm to take part in the fundraiser at the Old Park Farm Boarding Kennels, on the outskirts of Guisborough, east Cleveland.
Mrs Young said: “It costs us around £4,000 a month to pay for the upkeep of the animals, so we are constantly looking to raise money. The recent bad weather has caused all kinds of problems for our fundraising because so many events have had to be cancelled.”
The charity has 20 dogs and puppies in kennels, as well as more than 12 animals in foster homes.
