I WOULD like to thank The Northern Echo for the tickets to the Newcastle v Man City match, it was a tremendous experience for my daughter and myself.
In the Keegan era I used to take her to cup and European matches up there, but it wasn’t the stadium that it is now.
It was a pity about the result but seeing Carroll and Tevez in action and scoring was fantastic.
The tickets were in the cushion-seated Milburn Stand with access to the Platinum Club.
I didn’t realise it included free programmes until I was leaving and saw them all laid out.
The guys from Darlington who sat next to us were Darlington fans. I am a Pools season ticket holder and had my Hartlepool hat on.
One wasn’t too pleased to learn that Hartlepool had beaten Huddersfield – a little harsh I thought as I like to see all North-East teams doing well, even Darlington.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Darlo second top of the premier, as long as we were at least one position higher than them.
