X-FACTOR winner Joe McElderry will be entertaining the crowds at an annual fireworks spectacular next month.
The free event, which will see the South Shields star performing his new single, on the Riverside, in Stockton, on Friday, November 5.
The fireworks will set the sky alight from 7.30pm with a Bollywood theme and music from the film Slumdog Millionaire.
Real Radio will be providing music throughout the evening from 6pm and there will be refreshments available.
The Millennium and Infinity footbridges will close at 7.20pm, approximately ten minutes before the display begins, and reopen as soon as possible after it finishes at about 8pm. The Riverside footbridge bridge will close from 6pm to 8.30pm, and the Princess of Wales bridge from 10am to 10pm. The North Shore gyratory road system will close from 6pm to 10pm and the Riverside Road from 6pm to 10pm.
Councillor Mary Womphrey, Stockton Borough Council's cabinet member for arts, leisure and culture, said: "Stockton's fireworks is a fantastic family event.
"Not only is it always a sight to behold but is also a far safer option than setting them off at home.
"We are delighted to welcome Joe McElderry and I'm sure his fans will thoroughly enjoy seeing Joe sing live."
