FORTY protesters from six unions staged a protest against government cutbacks this morning.
The group gathered outside a surgery being held by Liberal Democrat Redcar MP Ian Swales at Marske Library.
Paddy Hill, Unite Union organiser, said: “Our Cuts Killing Communities campaign is driving home the message to Liberal MPs that the cuts are far too quick, costing jobs unnecessarily and endangering the recovery.
"Ian Swales had a key role in the decisions made this week and we are here to voice our discontent.”
