THE partner of a man who has been missing for almost two weeks has made an emotional appeal for him to return.
Gail Thompson has not seen Glen Cowan, from Craghead, near Stanley, County Durham, since they had a row at Stanley Empire Workmen’s Club a fortnight tomorrow.
The 46-year-old, who works at AEI Cables, in Birtley, did not take any clothes with him and Ms Thompson, fears for his safety.
The 46-year-old barmaid, of Smailes Street, Stanley, said: “We had been fighting just about normal things like money. He has never done anything like this before. We are all so worried about him. I can handle it if he doesn’t want to talk to me but his mother is in ill health. I just want him to get in touch to let us know he is okay.
Mr Cowan is 5ft 6in with thinning ginger hair and a ruddy complexion.
He was wearing a black Berghaus jacket, light blue jeans and brown trainerstyle shoes. He was last seen shortly after 1pm as he was travelling on a Go NorthEast bus to Chester-le-Street. He got off in the town centre.
Anyone who can help is asked to contact Stanley police on 0345-60-60-365.
