NEWCASTLE United centre forward Andy Carroll has had his car torched while staying at team-mate Kevin Nolan's house.
The number nine's car was burnt out while it was parked on the drive of the Magpies' skipper in Ponteland in Northumberland.
The 21-year-old, from Gateshead, is living there as a condition of his bail after being charged with the alleged assault of his teenage ex-girlfriend.
The garage door was also daubed with graffiti about Mr Carroll on Wednesday evening.
Police and the fire service were called after the chrome-plated Range Rover was seen in flames on the drive.
Today the obscenities were covered-up with a sheet, while security staff stood guard outside house to prevent any other intruders gaining access.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: "A car was set on fire at 7.08pm on Wednesday, October 20.
"Police received a report from the fire and rescue service of a fire outside an address.
"Officers attended and a Range Rover was found to be on fire. The fire was extinguished by the fire and rescue service and no one was injured.
"The garage door of the property was also vandalised. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them."
