A MAN will appear in court charged with manslaughter this morning over an incident outside a Newcastle city centre bar.
A 37-year-old man suffered serious head injuries when he was assaulted outside Sgt Peppers, in Vine Lane, late on Friday, and died in hospital yesterday.
Robert Leigh Gray, 31, of Hill View Avenue, Kenton, will appear before Newcastle Magistrates' Court after being charged by Northumbria Police last night.
Two other people who were arrested remain on police bail pending further inquiries.
