A MAN died this morning after the cherrypicker he was working in hit live power lines.
The 26-year-old was helping to construct a hen shed when the incident took place at 9.20am this morning.
Police, road ambulances and the Great North Air Ambulance attended the farm near Arrathorne, between Catterick Garrison and Bedale.
A spokeswoman for the air ambulance said the crew worked on the man at the scene, and flew him to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, where he was pronounced dead.
