ABOUT 2,000 revellers converged on Heighington for a traditional fete - and to raise money for village funds.
A range of attractions were on offer at Heighington's charity fun day on Saturday, which was boosted by the weather.
There were charity stalls, a penalty shoot-out, tug of war, traditional fairground rides, face-painting and refreshments on the village green.
Paul Evans, who helped to organise the event, said: "It was a lovely family occasion.
"The villagers all came out to help the cause and the weather was also on our side.
"I think it is wonderful that the community rallied round like this."
Proceeds from the event, which have yet to be counted, will go towards village funds.
The main project is a soft play area.
Mr Evans added: "It was a smashing, traditional village day."
