Pupils and staff are celebrating at one of North Yorkshire's biggest primary schools after being given a string of accolades by Ofsted inspectors.
Lead inspector Mike Driver has told Norton Community School headteacher Tracey Ralph that standards in the school are improving rapidly, and children with learning difficulties were making outstanding progress.
He added in the report: "The school's self-evaluation is outstanding. Specific areas for improvements have been identified, prioritised and targeted effectively.
"There is an extremely strong capacity to improve."
Mr Driver said: "Rapid improvement in progress is evident in the children's work. Significant improvements in the quality of teaching and learning are having a positive impact on children's progress."
