PEOPLE who use a community centre have lent their hand to an unusual piece of artwork.
A 30ft ceramic mosaic now hangs from the walls of the Ragworth Neighbourhood Centre cafe.
Centre users worked with ceramicist Glynis Johnson as part of Stockton Borough Council's arts project, This is Me.
Claire Silvers, children's centre manager, said: "We were delighted to be part of the project because it offered users of the cafe and the centre the chance to contribute to this very significant piece of artwork, and the result is brilliant."
Ms Johnson said: "Everybody who uses the community cafe was given the chance to make one or more of the individual tiles that make up the mosaic, and altogether it tells the story of childhood.
"The mosaic spreads over three walls, being about 30ft in length. It's tactile and very colourful and everyone who either contributed to it or who comes to see it thinks it really adds to the spirit of the community cafe."
The cafe is open Monday to Friday, from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
