WISHES could come true for visitors to a sculpture display thanks to a new exhibit.
A number of sculptures, including Wishbones by Richard Farrington, are on show at Newby Hall, near Ripon.
The piece is made up of two-metre long wishbones, and visitors can leave a wish on a colourful label.
Newby has shown sculptures in the grounds for 250 years, and the latest exhibition is the sixth in its Sculpture Park.
Owner Lucinda Compton said: "We have beautiful mature woodland that runs alongside the River Ure. Whilst it is well used by our visitors as a woodland walk, we thought it would provide an ideal setting for displaying some contemporary art.
"It is a lot of work and very time-consuming liaising with all the artists, but really is enjoyable. The results each year make it worthwhile."
Newby Hall is famous for its collection of Roman sculptures, with 60 other pieces picked to be displayed in the grounds yearly.
This year, exhibitors include Heather Jansch, Michael Dan Archer, Antonia Spowers, Sally Fawkes and David Williams Ellis.
The Sculpture Park is open from Tuesday to Sunday this month, and every day next month and August.
Entry to the hall and gardens is £6.90 for adults, £5.90 for concessions and £5.20 for children.
