The current Thorn factory
MANUFACTURING firm Thorn Lighting, which employs over 700 people in Spennymoor, has unveiled plans for a £15m new factory in the town which will secure jobs for at least 20 years.
Thorn is applying for planning permission at the end of the month for the site, on the Green Lane Industrial Estate.
