FOUR beaches on Teesside have made their way into the Marine Conservation Society's Good Beach Guide 2006.
The society has given recommendations to the sea at Marske Sands and four stretches at Redcar - The Stray, Granville Terrace, the lifeboat station and Coatham.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's cabinet member for environmental improvement, Councillor Bob Stanway, said: "It's exceedingly good news for Redcar, as a tourist resort.
"We are constantly striving to improve the quality of our beaches and we are delighted to see the society has recognised the improvements."
