FOOTBALL legend Sir Geoff Hurst caught up with a prize-winning team of footballers during a visit to North Yorkshire.
He joined the Hutton Rudby under-11 girls team at Stokesley Sports Club to check out their training programme for next month's Youth Games.
The girls won a chance to meet the 1966 World Cup hero as part of the build-up towards representing Hambleton at the North Yorkshire Area Youth Games, at Ampleforth College, on Sunday, June 4.
The football competition at the event has been themed around the World Cup - with Hambleton drawn to play as Argentina.
The Hutton Rudby team will be one of 14 from across Hambleton representing eight sports to compete against teams from other areas across the county.
Competitions kick off at 9.30am and supporters are welcome, although they are warned to arrive early as there is limited parking on-site.
