RESIDENTS of east Durham can enjoy healthy living during a day-long event.
Villagers of Haswell will be able to sample breakfast smoothies, try cycling, walking and exercises at the Haswell Community Centre, from 9.30am to 5pm, on Thursday.
Those attending will also be able to learn about how different foods affect people's moods.
Stewart Doyle, Easington primary care trust's Get Active facilitator, said: "The day has been organised to allow people living in Haswell to sample food and activities that contribute to a healthy lifestyle.
"Everyone is welcome and can attend as many sessions as they like."
All sessions are free and open to all ages and abilities.
Anyone wishing to go on the cycle taster ride must book a bike prior to the event by contacting Get Active on 0191- 569 2847.
A creche will be available from 9.15am to 11.15am and from 3.15 to 5.15pm. Places can be booked by calling Joanne Cook, community engagement worker, on 077793 46289.
