A CHARITY has been given funding to buy equipment after helping to secure almost £100,000 for good causes in Darlington.
Darlington Council for Voluntary Service (DCVS), which helped nine other organisations gain grants last month, has been given £4,375 for software called Grantfinder, a database of British and EU funding schemes.
It has also gained £10,000 towards its core costs from Llyods TSB Foundation.
Funding advice workers Sharon Gollan and Jo Anderson helped homelessness charity First Stop gain more than £24,000 from the JSU Delegated Grants programme.
They have also helped DDREC secure almost £16,000 and Darlington Association on Disibility obtain £23,500.
Eastbourne Methodist Church has been given almost £25,000 after seeking advice from DCVS.
