VOLUNTEERS from a charity shop are urging residents to spring clean their homes and help them raise funds.
Scope, which runs a charity shop in Front Street, Chester-le-Street, hopes to raise money through its mobile phone and printer cartridge recycling appeal.
An estimated 90m old mobiles are gathering dust in drawers and cupboards across the UK.
Money from the appeal enables the charity to continue its work to achieve equality for disabled people.
