A SUPERMARKET will be holding a week of fundraising events to collect money for a North-East charity.
Morrisons, at Morton Park, Darlington, will be holding in-store collections from Monday, May 29 to Saturday, June 3, to achieve their target of raising £5,000 for the Great North Air Ambulance, which is based at Durham Tees Valley Airport.
Unwanted clothes, inkjet printer cartridges and mobile phones will also be collected.
On the Saturday, a day of events will be held, including a bric-a-brac stall, tombola, raffle, and a children's colouring competition.
Sandra Hodgson, the store's personnel manager, urged shoppers to help achieve the target.
"We have got things going on all day Saturday, and collections throughout the week, and it's all for such an important local charity," she said.
