NORTH-East law firm Ward Hadaway has won a three-year contract with a consortium of health trusts to provide legal services.
The Newcastle-based firm was appointed as sole legal provider for the consortium, of six Cumbrian NHS Trusts, after a competitive pitch process involving law firms from across England.
The six trusts will be provided with advice covering the full range of legal issues affecting the NHS including health law, property, commercial, construction and employment.
Jeff Keeble, head of healthcare at Ward Hadaway, said, "We are particularly gratified by the recognition that Ward Hadaway can deliver a full service to the wide range of NHS organisations including acute hospitals, mental health and learning disability trusts and primary care trusts."
Ward Hadaway represents 64 NHS Trusts across the UK.
