ASPIRING young rock musicians are being offered the chance to improve their skills at a half-term project.
The School of Rock and Pop workshop will be held on June 1 and 2 at Belmont Community Arts College.
The workshop, which is open to musicians from County Durham, will offer youngsters the chance to play in a band and make music.
Workshop leader Andrew Meadowcroft said: "Finding a worthwhile holiday activity can be a bit of a nightmare.
"Our workshop is a chance for kids to rock out with other like-minded young musicians and perform on the following Wednesday afternoon to parents and friends.
"While making new friends and building confidence, students will also be learning how to read music, how to improvise and how to play the songs they want to play."
Places cost £30. To book, call 0845 234 0195 or visit www.schoolof rockandpop.com
